Peter J. Sneed, MD, PCEO
– Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon –
I joined a company, Strathspey Crown, when I learned that this was a movement joining doctors across specialties to return the doctor patient relationship to its rightful position. Through that company, I attended a week long course with other physicians at Harvard Business School for the past two years. It was there that I met Guy Kezirian and learned of the PHYSICIAN CEO™ program at Northwestwern’s Kellogg School of Management.
As with any such program, the relationships with physicians around the world has been very special with lifelong new friendships. The unique aspect of PCEO is the ability to directly apply this to my business model either already established in a clinic or ASC setting, or a new entrepreneurial venture.
As a result of PHYSICIAN CEO™, I have made the decision to transition out of clinical practice (which I love) and be involved in the leadership of change that puts physicians at the decision making table or as we say, “the physician needs to have the checkbook”.
No one better than the physician can lead this change. PHYSICIAN CEO™ has affirmed the great value that physicians bring to healthcare. We need good hospitals, insurance companies, pharma, device companies, and ancillary support like Nurses, PT, care managers, and extended care facilities, but without a Doctor and Patient there is no health care.
If you have the desire to be in a leadership role in medicine, on a small scale or large, you need to enroll in PHYSICIAN CEO™ 2017. The return on your investment will be incredible. Thank you Guy for your vision and courage to make this happen and thank you Kellogg School of Management for daring to do things differently.
With much appreciation.
